User account and Group account are provided by Windows 7. It is basically designed for the individuals and also helps to simplify the establishment of the multiple users. Now it is very easy to Log on with your user account.

Windows 7 provides you with two types of user account:

1 Local user account
2 Domain user account

Local user account: Those users account that are defined only on a local computer are known to be as local user account. These accounts have access to local computers only. The users account can be easily added and removed with Control Panel's User Account options. You can access Local Users and Groups through Computer management.

Domain user account: Those users account that are defined in active Directory are called domain user accounts. Domain user account can be created using Active Directory Users and Computers. When you install the Remote Server Administrator Tools on your Windows 7 computer, this tool would be available to you on the administrative tool menu.

You can configure both these accounts as standard users account or administrator account, but both provide different advantages. Less privileges are provided by a standard user account on a local computer whereas administrative account provides you with enlarged advantages.

Logon name is required for the identification of users account. This logon name has two parts in Windows 7:

User name: the display text for the account
User Computer: The computer where user accounts exist.
